We just couldn’t be more excited to share the wedding of one of our most lovely and down-to-earth couples today! Wendy + Curtis are a hilarious pair. Their March wedding, held at a private residence in Sunnyvale, TX, was bursting with DIY details, lots of gorgeous color, and so so much love.

It’s definitely hard to pick favorites when every image is stunning, but these are a few of our most-loved! (See their full gallery here!)

We have been dying to share photos from the first ever Big Fake Wedding in Dallas last month and today we finally get to! This was such an amazing event full of incredibly talented vendors and we were so ecstatic to be invited to participate as one of three event designers.

For our part, we were in charge of the ceremony backdrop and three guest tables in the reception area. We really played off the modern-cool vibe of The Joule and created a hanging installation full of embroidery hoops, lace, and gold geometric accents.

For our guest tables we mixed modern metallics with vintage accents. Our centerpieces were simple rose gold wreaths with deep green and purple florals mixed in. In the center, we added a large vase with modern vinyl table numbers and candle to cast a glow over the whole tablescape.

We are so thankful to Lauren of Pretty Little Plates for lending us some of her gorgeous vintage dishes to really make our tables pop! How amazing are these?!

It was seriously awe-inspiring to see these huge team of vendors break out their absolute best to put on a kick-ass fake wedding for all the brides-and-grooms to be who attended as guests.

Be sure to check out our full gallery of the event and the event recaps from Ruffled and The Big Fake Wedding!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had an amazing Valentine’s weekend.

We are so so excited to share all the amazing photos that came out of our first event of 2015, The Big Fake Wedding | Dallas! But today you’ll have to settle for a little sneak peek!

#marriedfacemonday is a one-photo celebration of silly, beautiful, knock-out love

Big Fake Wedding - Dallas

Is anyone else in shock by the fact that’s we are already in the second month of 2015. Where has January gone? As you probably already know or maybe you don’t, February is deemed to be the month of love, but it can be extremely stressful for couple who are engaged. On top of the wedding planning and penny pinching you have to worry about celebrating the “holiday of love”; which should be the most important one this year since you’re engaged right?

I personally know I get a little anxiety when trying to decide on what to get my significant other and we aren’t even engaged. Valentine’s Day seems to hit you full force when you’re not looking. You just spent time and effort picking out the best Christmas presents in December and in my case birthday gifts in January. And then BAM! not even a month later I’m scrambling trying to get a Valentine’s day gift together. So, I asked myself; why not make something or do something that’s sweet, inexpensive, and romantic?

Here are a few ideas to help cut cost and be romantic all at the same time.

A Sensual Valentine

What better way than to give 5 little surprises in these sleek looking boxes. I love this gift because you can be as creative as you would like.

You can’t get much better than this when trying to compliment. All it take is a deck of cards and the sweetest thoughts you have!

Such a cute and creative way to celebrate with your future husband is featured to the left. This has to be my favorite idea that I have seen for celebrating Valentine’s day with your special someone. A nice dinner and a bottle of wine in a cozy room makes for one romantic and inexpensive evening!

Have a happy Valentine’s Day and happy planning!
